I am a social researcher and agricultural specialist with a focus that spans both South Africa and Scotland. In South Africa, I was affiliated with Nelson Mandela University, where my research is concentrated on sustainable aquaculture and small-scale farming. My work addresses the significant challenges of drought and climate change in South Africa, emphasizing the importance of community-based agricultural systems and rural development.In Scotland, I work at the James Hutton Institute, where I contribute to the COEVOLVERS project. This initiative focuses on how local communities can actively participate in managing natural resources to confront the biodiversity and climate crises. My research in Scotland emphasizes rural digitalization and explores the socio-economic benefits of linking land, people, and technology for sustainable environmental governance.
