The VSV-AUPS is the roof association of the Swiss Adult Education Centers. We count about 65 members. The VSV-AUPS defends their interests and manages projects in the fields of digitalisation, education for elderly people (beyond 65) and accessibility for handicapped. Our newest child is a project pushing sustainability in the educational field.

Since 1920, the Open University of Zurich is offering post-graduate education to everybody. Originally founded in the bourgeois spirit of sharing knowledge with the working class in a more and more industrialized world, it has specialized in language learning and in cultural and scientific offerings on academic level. From 2010 to 2012, public subsidies decreased from 1.5 mio. to 0 (zero!). Nowadays Volkshochschule Zurich operates on a fully private basis. This is unique in Switzerland. Hopefully it won't give an example to other cantons looking for budget cuts. However, the Volkshochschule Zürich (VHS ZH) is doing well. Instead of lowering our level, we increased it. People like to be taken for serious. They followed.

CEO of the Swiss Arts Council. The SAC support artistic exchange projects abroad and in Switzerland. It operates independently from the Swiss government though fully funded by it. Pro Helvetia counts 70 collaborators, culture centers in Paris, Rome, New York and liaison offices in Warszaw, Cape Town, Cairo, New Delhi and Shanghai.

Built a new sponsoring department focussing on Swiss Fashion, Design, Jazz, Pop with some classical heritage from the private banking's side. An experimental period of sponsoring, after my departure stopped by the new CEO.

Launched the club, put together the program, the publicity, run the support association, drove musicians to the hotel and back, cleaned the toilets and worked in the political field. Partnered with other jazz organizers and contributed to different jazz festivals in Zurich. Switched from director to president. Built finally a new club as part of the Schiffbau Cultural Center in Zurich, opened in 2000. Gave up presidency shortly afterwards.

Produce short reports (2 to 8 minutes) and put together complete news shows.

Shareholder, co-founder and editor of Die Region, an alternative weekly for the central parts of Switzerland. It started as a protest against the business policy of the company running the local daily. A good start, soon lots of financial problems. In any case a true adventure which put us forward.
