Responsible for 24-hour operation/repair/maintenance of all P.O.S./Network equipment (LAN/WAN) in any of the 14 McDonald restaurants. Supported the owner/operators offices building including several workstations running a mixture of Windows 2000 and Windows XP, as clients on our Active Directory network controlled by a Windows Server 2003 machine with Exchange Server installed. That I also configured and supported.Installed and supported Norton AV 9.0 for both server and workstations.Provided support for common DSL/Cable connections used at each store for Secure Cashless processing.Implement our local network specific information as well as our credit processors network information into an ACL list at each store.Charged with the task of updating and maintaining all register systems in the stores. Installed a policy of maintaining unique Ghost images of not only each register type, but each register group (ex. Drive thru systems vs Front Counter) As the department grew I was tasked with the organization and distribution of these images. Responsible for updating the images as corporate software updates were implemented. With this policy, when and if a register system suffered disk failure, we had it replaced/imaged and operational in under an hour. These images were maintained with two separate applications, registers were managed with Norton Ghost, while the in-store servers which operated on a Linux platform required disk management with Acronis.Extensive effort was also put in the consolidation of all technical activity of my department into easy to read and understand excel documents.These documents were stored/organized, and distributed directly the owner operator, and all appropriate store operational managers in an automated e-mail process.
