I came aboard to completely restart the Design function from the ground up. This included hiring and overseeing a Product Design team to work in conjunction with the rest of the Build team and a Communications Design team to service the Marketing & Brand needs of the business.Throughout this time I oversaw or directly contributed to some key Product and Design milestones: • Designing and overhauling the Marketing website as a product for different teams within the company to use • Starting a new design vision (including flows, components, and visuals) for the Marketplace and SaaS products that was a much more cohesive system across both product lines as we sought to unify the experiences • Bringing the SaaS product to a level of maturity to satisfy the business needs of Fortune 500 companies. • Growing a team and staying connected as we transitioned to a news ways working during 2020

As an early hire and first Designer the responsibilities of growing a Design Team shift over time from being a primary contributor to supporting the growth of the entire company. This includes being a member of both the Product and Design Teams, evolving early products and designs, and being judicious and future-facing with new products and feature sets.Aside from building a large vocabulary of startup buzzwords, I've had the pleasure of shaping all aspects of Design at an Enterprise SaaS company from core branding to product UI/UX, to working in coordination with the Marketing Team to create and maintain our public-facing website.

I was very fortunate to work with some amazing people in a high-growth venture-backed start up situation where I was hopefully able to contribute as much as I learned.During my time at SCVNGR / LevelUp I was provided with and grew into the role of Principal Designer. I'm very proud of the sheer breadth & volume of designs & product that I produced. Since joining a team of only a few people I embraced the evolving responsibilities such as Branding, UI design, UX flows, and over-arching Product Design. This was done through multiple versions of multiple products, with responsibilities including new feature design and development, hiring and growing the design team, working closely with developers on implementation details for web and mobile versions of various projects and apps.

This was my own freelance and contracting work where i mostly made small micro-sites or did freelance html / css / Flash work. While this older generation of work product has aged, some of the lessons of client relations and branding laid important foundations for things to come.

While working for DreamIt's first summer class in Philadelphia I did a variety of operations-level tasks. I was also given an introduction to tech startups from an interesting point of view, where I learned & listened to speakers, advisers, and team members from companies in various stages.
