Established in 1994, Pixel Factory has allowed my to push my design skills with smaller clients that desire great creative but cannot afford an agency budget. I work directly with clients to establish or empower their brand with effective advertising and collateral. Major clients have included ASCAP, BP, Sears, The Logan Theatre, Nick's Fishmarket, Char Crust, Maytag, R.R. Donnelly, Marriot Hotels and Kmart.

I was originally contracted to assist in the execution of the Kohl's Princess Vera Wang facebook application. After completion, my contract has been extended to utilizing my design and production skills with other clients. I work hand in hand with UX and development teams to design elegant and forward thinking websites. A few of the clients I have worked with at Manifest are Allstate, Nike, Mather/Jahn, SportRx, Legacy.com and Northern Trust.

I conceive creative solutions that support defined strategies with the majority of assignments accepted by the client with minimal revisions. Develop intimate knowledge of client brands, products and target demographics. My work gains positive recognition from agency staff and clients. Collaborated with copywriters on the creation of unique concepts that incorporated traditional, social and online strategies to achieve marketing goals. I have won a CUNA Diamond Award in 2006 for Youth Marketing & Financial Education.

Working with a small staff, I oversaw production of all printed pieces. Along with pre-press, I also became the lead designer for most of our clients including Shure, Inc., iDine, Wacker and Ingersoll. I revised their archive system from jaz based to CD-Rom and implemented an NT server based workflow.

Working hand in hand with sales, production and the pressroom, set up client files for press. Duties included designing client jobs, digital pre-flighting of files, retouching and color correction, setting up press ready layouts for final film and plating. Clients worked on have included Cellular One, Ameritech, Hewitt, Harley Davidson, Jacobs, and the University of Chicago.

Working with Art Directors, I implemented their designs into production ready documents. Other responsibilities included creating multiple versions of a layout for different vendors and media. Because of my strong Photoshop and color correction skills, I was brought into the McDonald’s Branding Team where we implemented advance color profiling for use in an on-line point of purchase display ordering system.

Starting as a Production Coordinator responsibilities included the typesetting and layout of card back and insides for film output and proofs. Eventually I began scanning, color correction and retouching of original art. Other duties involved the archiving of approved files, laying out of seasonal brochures and the maintenance of macintosh systems. During my employment I implemented the migration from Scitex to a Mac based workflow.
