There I designed 3d visuals for exhibitions and trade shows. I also got the incredible opportunity to work on, and go to, the Irish Pavillion at the WORLD EXPO 2000 in Hanover, Germany. I really enjoyed my experiences in DCL. One day, I went to a meeting in AVCOM (Irelands largest AV Production company) and the MD asked me would I like to join their graphics department! That day I fell in love with the events industry, and spent the next few years exploring new skills, designing 3d Studio Max and After Effects logo loops, and event intros that would blend into title slides, and of course the powerpoint decks! There I worked with and learned from the event industry's best talents, and Irelands biggest brands, some of whom I'm proud to call clients today. Redundancy and Recession were a bit of a blip…so I adapted, spending time teaching creative IT in St John of God School, (a school for students with mild to moderate learning disabilities), and also enjoying photography again, which I had always loved since my darkroom days in college. Design work eventually picked up, and Pixelpool is pure presentation design now, and that is where I’m happiest! I love working with a brand's assets, using design and powerpoint skills to craft presentations, that bring their story to life.
