I am the Founder and Creative Director of Handmade in Britain, the leading organiser of Contemporary craft fairs in the UK since 2007. Alongside curating fairs with world renown organisations such as Kew Gardens, Waterperry Gardens, and Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, Handmade in Britain operates an e-commerce marketplace that specialises in promoting handmade craft from independent British designer-makers. I am also Co-Founder, Creative Director for Design Mumbai - India's first international contemporary design show launching in November 2024At the beginning of my career, I worked as a textile design consultant in India, designing and developing home textiles and soft furnishings for many Export houses. In addition to this, I have worked on various freelance projects with the Ministry of Textiles across India, where I trained local craftspeople to design and develop textiles collections for the European market. This is where my passion for handmade craft was first ignited. I have also appeared as a judge in BBC2’s TV series, Paul Martin’s Handmade Revolution (2012) and Channel 4 Series, Kirstie's Celebrity Craft Masters (2019 ). I am currently in BBC1 series MAKE IT AT MARKET (Season 1 and 2) mentoring textile designers. My latest project is a design consultancy on UKRI funded Gender, Justice, Security hub, consulting on a project on sustainable livelihoods for women in conflict regions.
