My dear husband contracted it after having open heart surgery, it was not diagnosed for five weeks. It was too late for him, he passed away after suffering from this horribly painful dreaded disease. One of his doctors even wrote a paper on calciphylaxis and he didn't even recognise it as it progressed so quickly into necrotic areas. My purpose in creating the web site was to raise awairness and to make up brochures with pictures to pass out at all the dialysis centers througout the US and to make up a poster with pictures for ICU's so that they could diagnose it in time to save lives. At this time however, I need help raising funds for the foundation to make it a 501(c) and to raise the funds to make this happen. A better web site would also help as I am not a web designer and a free web site does not do the foundation justice. If anyone is willing to help, please contact me.
