I also built and led ETA's 50 state legislative advocacy program which includes managing multiple outside lobbyists. My practice focused on federal and state regulatory issues surrounding consumer financial services, payments, banking, and financial technology.I counseled bank and non-bank clients on consumer and commercial financial laws, state and federal regulations, and AML/BSA compliance. I advised FinTech companies including online lenders small business lenders regarding compliance and state licensing matters. I worked with international payments companies on compliance and policy issues.I worked with banking, technology, and lending clients on issues ranging from state licensing, debt collection, loan servicing, and loan brokering. My experience includes counseling clients through regulatory challenges involving the Bank Holding Company Act, Volcker Rule, and National Bank Act. I assisted companies in navigating an increasingly complex regulatory environment and facilitated productive relationships with regulatory agencies including the CFPB, FTC, FCC, Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC, FinCEN, and state agencies.

I implemented regulatory policy affecting NAFCU members credit unions and advocated on their behalf to entities including the Federal Reserve Board, National Credit Union Administration, CFPB, Internal Revenue Service, Federal Trade Commission, Department of Labor, Department of Treasury, and The White House. I also conducted presentations and spoke on financial services and regulatory issues affecting member credit unions and assisted in representing NAFCU before members of the press. I was responsible for preparation of regulatory analysis, writing and reviewing comment letters, and explaining NAFCU positions and regulatory activities to other member credit unions and other interested groups.

I was also responsible for donor outreach and cultivation of new donors and ensured that all campaign activities, including candidate, surrogates, staff, consultants, and volunteers, were in full compliance with election law. In order to build our team, I hired and managed campaign staff, consultants, and an internship program.

I served in my capacity as lead Field Coordinator for all field activities including extensive voter outreach and persuasion program, planned and organized community events, managed personnel and payroll for district staff. I managed and implemented district-wide Get Out The Vote program including persuasion plus maintenance canvass and phone programs as well as volunteer and staff training.
