Public Health Intelligence Manager
CurrentPublic Health Intelligence lead for Wakefield Council. Responsible for the strategic direction of the Public Health Intelligence team, ensuring that the Public Health department is taking data driven decisions and evaluating it's commissioned services and health interventions effectively. Responsible for the management of all public health data sources and the effective communication of all analytical products and insights to stakeholders both internal and external to the Council.Information Asset Owner and information governance lead for the Public Health Department.Key Responsibilities include:Strategic Planning: Developing long-term strategic plans for public health intelligence initiatives aligned with organisational priorities.Budget Management: Managing budgetary resources for public health intelligence activities.Technology and Infrastructure Management: Overseeing the selection, implementation, and maintenance of information systems and technologies used for data collection, analysis, and reporting.Policy Advocacy: Collaborating with policymakers and stakeholders to advocate for evidence-based policies and interventions informed by public health intelligence findings.Capacity Building: Identifying training needs and opportunities for professional development within the team and providing training sessions to enhance skills in data management, data analysis and epidemiology.Communication and Reporting: Presenting findings, insights, and recommendations to diverse audiences, including senior leadership, government agencies, community partners, and the public, through reports, presentations, and publications.Collaborative Partnerships: Establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with local, regional, and national public health agencies, community organisations, and other stakeholders to enhance data sharing, coordination, and collaboration in public health efforts.
