I am a senior engineer specializing in software development with extensive experience in embedded firmware and hardware. Formally educated in physics with an emphasis in computational statistical quantum mechanics and field theory. Since graduating with my Master's from the University of North Carolina - Chapel hill, I have enjoyed working at a radar design firm where some of my initial projects and responsibilities involved hardware bring-up/debug/analysis of complex communication and radar boards. As my role at Colorado Engineering, inc. has progressed, I gained experience in embedded fpga/cpld firmware uController software, including experience with low-level communication protocols such as spi, i2c, SERDES, JESD, PCIe and more. After a year and a half of hands-on hardware/firmware experience, I was fortunate enough to begin working in a software research and development capacity. This new role gained me experience in gui development/maintenance, code profiling and acceleration through vectorization and parallelization, and computer vision/machine learning techniques. I have become well versed in OOP/OOD through C/C++ and automated scripting with python. I have experience programming in both Windows and Linux using various IDEs as well as native compilers. I have participate in multiple computer vision and machine learning projects using both C++ and Python libraries, including but not limited to Tensorflow/scikit-learn model development and customized YOLO object detection.
