My early career in the world of technology and global corporates got me very curious about ‘brilliant technical people’ making the transition into management roles. I learned a lot from my fifteen years of managing projects, programmes and teams and one of the most important was that we weren’t really managing ‘things’ or activities or timescales or budgets…it was really about people and their ideas. And I discovered that we can’t actually ‘manage’ people either. Generally people will do what they want to do, or feel inclined to do, on the day!So I became even more fascinated by the concepts of leadership, motivation and collaboration…and about how organisations evolve and develop (or try to!) as a result of the behaviours and actions of their leaders and managers…and indeed everyone else.I’ve spent the last 20 years working with people in a wide range of different organisations, really as a ‘facilitator’…helping them to get the best from themselves, their teams and also their bosses! So that they can grow the organisation, the business and ultimately themselves. What I enjoy most is the opportunity to challenge individuals and teams in a way which stimulates a positive change and creates a more energised and empowered culture. That's what creates success!Specialties: Developing people and organisations using insight, awareness, questioning, tools and techniques of NLP and my own life experience.
