BLUE ORIGIN• Performed as the product owner for BE-4 Rocket Engine ancillary components, responsiblefor multiple projects' line of balance components from concept to production and thosecomponents' progression through manufacture at the Kent WA and Huntsville AL facilities.• Coordinated transition of numerous components from product development to productionphase, developing manufacturing process instructions facilitating the stand up of processesfor more than 20 components in the Huntsville facility, and implementing simplification &standardization of manufacturing processes in multiple work centers.• Resolved 75+ aging Non-Conformances (NCs) within six-month contract, evaluating &creating dispositions for NC hardware to return to conforming, achieving a <24-houraverage disposition time across shifts and <10-day resolution.• Coordinated the design of new tooling to remove burrs and scratches impacting the the proper seal of mating surfaces for high pressure gasses through connecting surfaces of components in combustive gas lines avoiding the need to scrap nonconforming parts costing $900+ each.

RRMIF Plant (Space Systems Operations)• Performed responsibilities as the lead manufacturing engineer for a Tier 2 Missile Programworking with a multidisciplinary team and government customers to maintain missionassurance on an aggressive schedule.• Generated numerous technical packages for Material Review Board approved repairs.Communicating with internal and external Stakeholders on hardware received with orincurring defects at assembly for components ranging from $1M to $2.9M, saving aminimum of $37K per asset for Returns To Vendor (RTV).• Consulted with Supplier Quality Engineers to resolve complications as well as mitigate &minimize RTVs stemming from supplier defects assuring quality by ensuring processadherence in accordance with contracts, command media & TDP requirements.• Incorporated a tooling/production aid for difficult connector mate to prevent lost manhoursto frequent rework and periodic RTV for repair on two mating components valuing around$2.7M each.• Ensured the uninterrupted work flow to the manufacturing floor by providing work ordersfor original production & recertification (sustainment) rounds and expedient defectresolution & rework, and improving routing sets to reduce turnaround time for rework onthe manufacturing floor.• Executed upkeep of manufacturing Work Instructions (W/I) effectively and efficiently toreflect any changes resulting from above duties as well as changes in TDPs, StandardsCommand Media and/or Government contracts.

• As part of the Hardware Integration Center (HWIC) for the Patriot Defense System; responsible for the ensuring of quality & conforming parts, and correct & compliant implementation of components & systems from numerous other departments & outside vendors.• Develop manufacturing processes and procedures for numerous contracted countries by translating engineering design specifications, contract requirements and gov’t restrictions into formal manufacturing process documentation.• Perform BUMPs/FAIRs certifying adherence of TDP/MDPs to all required standards as set by MIL-STDs and other applicable industry standards and documents. • Assist Operations Managers of the Patriot Systems with oversight of production, ensuring compliance of hardware, proper assembly, providing solutions to non-conformances and varying issues encountered during production in a timely manner to maintain tight schedule.• Disposition non-conforming hardware/material and other problems incurred during manufacturing, based upon product/drawing specifications, customer requirements and gov’t contract stipulations. • Lead corrective action investigations on non-conformances, devise and suggest incorporation of design changes to prevent recurrence.• Investigate root cause to non-conformances in purchased parts to, where applicable, alleviate Raytheon of responsibility for rework or replacement cost for RTV transactions.• Inspect final end items for non-conformances & defects, evaluating potential issues, ensuring compliance to stringent government contracts and requirements ensuring readiness for contracted sale date.• Implemented a design change incorporating a different type of hardware and installation process reducing the man hours required by 16hrs and saving over $5,900 per unit.• Executed several CPI/DFMA initiatives resulting in rework reduction, and/or decreased cycle times generating cost avoidances valued between $1,867.50 and $9,263.90 per asset.
