- The OpenLoop student group is made up of 80+ students from six universities which competed at the Hyperloop Pod Competition that qualified for the Competition Weekend.- Sponsors include ACP Composites, Rhinestahl, Hyperloop Technologies, and the California High Speed Rail Authority.- Worked with Battery Team to select and package commercial battery cells in proposed Hyperloop pod design- Team selected by SpaceX to build test pod and compete in Hyperloop Competition Weekend

• Designed on-chip wire connections to minimize reflections & impedance mismatches• Built optical delay testing setup for independent signal generation, test bench for photonic integrated circuit testing and electrical-optical laser characterizations• Simulated saturable laser dynamics and RF circuits in PICWave and LTSpice, received $4,500 in funding to characterize real on-chip excitable laser• Worked with Mitchell Nahmias under Paul Prucnal on the Neuromorphic Photonics Project
