I am currently the Sr. Director of Operations at Cookie Cart, a nonprofit social enterprise located both in the heart of Minneapolis’ Northside and the East Side of St. Paul. We employ over 300 students each year, working a collective 45,000 hours. This includes hands-on learning in the bakery, leadership development and financial literacy courses in the classroom, and opportunities to visit some of the premier businesses in our community. My role provides leadership, management oversight, and day-to-day support to the organization to ensure management and staff understand and meet financial, productivity, and quality goals. I serve as second-in-command to the Executive Director and oversee all operational functions of Cookie Cart.

During our search for a new Executive Director, the Cookie Cart Board of Directors asked and approved me as Interim Executive Director. I am also the lead staff member on our search committee to find our next Executive Director. The Cookie Cart staff are a resilient group and look forward to continuing the work of teaching life, leadership, and employment skills to teens of color through on-the-job and classroom experiences in nonprofit bakeries.
