Promoted to Head of Engineering in November 2018.- Responsible for the wellbeing and productivity of six engineering teams (approx. 40 engineers) split between the main London office and the remote Polish office of our outsourcing partner.Technology strategy- Worked closely with the wider business to align engineering with the various business, regulatory, security objectives and constraints.- Introduced new high-level architecture boundaries and principles allowing for decoupled teams, isolated areas of change and a self-serve model for customer facing product teams to iterate faster.- Managed suppliers and led technical due diligence for PSD2 compliance including OpenBanking APIs and SCA (strong customer authentication).- Organised and led the engineering support required by the platform team for the design and execution of a replatform from hosted infrastructure to AWS.People management- Introduced a career ladder with a new focus on non-technical skills for senior engineers. Partiti was a startup that helped customers improve their financial health. Pariti provided a mobile personal finance management app that analysed customer transactions to provide insight on financial health and forecasting of their current financial outlook. Pariti was acquired by Tandem Bank in February 2018.Startup CTO- Built a prototype backend while bootstrapped, assisted with investor pitches and joined fulltime as CTO after seed funding was secured.- Recruited and led a small team of backend and frontend engineers of the development of a cloud hosted backend and native iOS and Android mobile apps.- Developed in-app consolidation loan application process for partners- Successfully delivered a prototype white-labeled auto-savings app for HSBC to test for a sample group of their customers.- Started a data science lab to improve the financial dataset cleaning and analysis.- Developed A/B tests to improve engagement with micro-savings and saving goals.Software development- Hands-on development of all backend systems hosted in Azure cloud services.- Integration with Yodlee allowing customers to link their various bank accounts. Improved the default user journeys with a native mobile experience.- Custom real-time data processing pipeline for customers bank account datasets that cleaned account and transaction data, extracted recurring series and built forecast timelines of each customer’s financial future.- Integrations with multiple financial product providers allowing customers to apply for financial products from within the Pariti mobile apps.

North Highland is an international management consultancy focused on change and transformation. North Highland were building their digital consultancy capability and started with a small team of digital domain experts in London.- Joined as the digital engineering SME for the the digital team- Responsible for upskilling 100+ consultants via in-house workshops and webinars.- Ran workshops for clients around agile transformation, modern engineering practices and devops- Collaborated on building a new suite of digital products that North Highland could offer existing and new clients.- Acted as technical liaison for current engagements as required.

OnTrees is a personal finance management website and iOS app that was sold to Moneysupermarket.com in Mar 2014. Most of the team join Moneysupermarket as part of the acquisition. - Expanded and led the engineering team to complete a rework of the backend, website and mobile clients.- Worked with new management to understand how OnTrees fits into the wider company portfolio and contributing to conversations around integration and opportunities.
