Trade Compliance Architect – Promoted to this position. January 2012 - present• Responsible for driving the business strategy and financial results of Digital River through the design, promotion, operation and governance of the company’s global trade compliance program. • Advise leaders in all aspects of trade compliance related to ecommerce digital and physical product fulfillment globally. • Provide expertise, guidance and recommendations on process improvement, as well as requirements to ensure compliance. • Define consistent, repeatable and measurable processes, act as subject matter expert and collaborate with all levels of compliance, product and sales to ensure that internal defined processes and best practices are understood and adhered to. • Continue to perform daily export/import compliance duties as required.Export/Import Compliance Manager• Develop, implement, and manage Digital River’s worldwide export/compliance programs in line with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Federal Trade Regulations (FTR) and embargo and sanction programs administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). • Manage and set the strategic direction for global trade compliance programs. Implement policies, procedures and internal controls around global export compliance and export licensing. • Analyze and identify the impact of laws, legislation, court decisions, and federal regulations related to export controls. • Assist in the creation and implementation of standards for export license and license exemption management under the appropriate export regimes globally. • Develop and facilitate export compliance training to business units and assist business unit process owners with developing internal controls related to export compliance.
