My working career is primarily centered in the construction world. I have a diverse skill set which includes experience in civil construction, construction surveying, materials testing, pavement preparation, utilities installation, company and project economics, as well as damage and risk assessments. I have gained competencies in equipment operation, maintenance, and utilization, whether I personally operate the equipment or am supervising/project managing. In the previous three years I have been primarily employed as the lead Quality Control surveyor at Teck's Highland Valley Copper for the LL Dam Tailings Storage Facility. This year, however, I was required to pause my work on the mine site to allow me to manage my companies' scope of emergency repairs on Highway 8. The November 2021 flood damage was extensive on Highway 8 and the geotechnical condition of its many sites required a strict commitment to safety while expediting repairs.Previous to recent years, I have a varied breadth of experience in construction, of which, include the following:Supervisor/Project Management- Duties included administrative work, safety development and implementation, maintenance facilitation and scheduling, and the oversight of day-to-day operations of various works such as: MoTI highway construction projects, residential and municipal civil construction projects, aggregate crushing, forestry road construction, and lead survey. While emphasizing safety, I diligently provided oversight on various jobs in differing areas of work. Responsible for: managing budgets, costing, maintenance, estimating, client relations, excavating trenches, installing pipe/conduit, grading/backfilling, and much more.Survey: I served as lead construction survey for projects including residential subdivisions, road resurfacing, curb and gutter installation, service upgrades, bridge installation, riprap, and various other short-term contracts while working on contracts with the City of Kamloops, MoTI, Highland Valley Copper and subdivision developers.Crusher Supervisor – Operated and Supervised Eljay 460V Electric crushing equipment as well as hydraulic jaw crushers, cone crushers, impact crushers and screeners. I am efficient and accurate at performing field sieve analysis and quality control.Equipment Operator –Safely and proficiently operate the following machinery listed in order with experience respective to usage: Excavator, Loader, Dozer, Skid-steer, Backhoe, Rock Truck, Packer, Fork-lift, Hydro-vac.
