Started as a Senior Developer working in the B2B environment on key web applications for a variety of clients. Promoted to Application Team Lead in 2014 as the digital department increased, and became much more involved in architecting increasingly complex global systems. Helped to build and manage a growing development team from 3 to 14 members as well as the processes and tools that go with delivering successful projects. Promoted to Head of Development in 2017 and now lead the technical team. My current day-to-day role includes working across development, agile project management, team management, technical architecture, requirements gathering, and working with international (Japan and US) stakeholders to deliver complex, enterprise systems with open source technologies and AWS.

Financial Ltd is a network for Financial Advisers in the UK. I was appointed to look after the computer systems for the firm and to start a web design service for our clients. As this was a completely new direction for the firm, I was entirely responsible for its initiation. As a result I developed my technical skills from university and I continued to develop key business skills such as teamwork, problem solving, analytical ability and project management. Another of my roles was to provide IT consultancy to our clients. I enjoyed the challenge of having so many different roles to perform within a very successful firm. The department and the firm has now grown significantly and is now one of the top 100 financial firms in the UK, My role evolved and I became the Line Manager for a team developing databases and solutions for the company's client information and fund management service. My most recent project was to design and implement a client information database from scratch. I learnt a great deal from this experience, and I really valued the responsibilities I was given early in my career.
