Responsible for the portfolio 10-year asset life cycle capital works management plans and ongoing approvals of capital expenditure. Collating and updating the portfolio environmental performance benchmarks and aligned business strategy and marketing data for annual reporting. Advising on design standards and environmental standards for new development and major refurbishment. Input to annual business plans and marketing brochures. Deliver the NGERS annual report and annual NABERS Energy and Water ratings for the portfolio. Participate in industry groups such as GBCA, PCA and City of Sydney Better Building Partnership (CoS BBP). Member of global sustainability committee, member of leadership panel for the CoS BBP, chair of water technical working group for recycled water infrastructure and representation on PCA national sustainability committee. Presentation at key industry functions on environmental performance.

Provide National Corporate Sustainability focus for medium to long term strategy with budget modelling to track sustainability initiatives and KPI’s. Provide specialist advice to implement and oversee design and delivery of sustainability initiatives and strategy towards “carbon neutral” position. Deliver hands on consulting and stakeholder “buy-in” including training and development of staff. Projects included:- KPI’s budget and forecast. Monthly, quarterly and annual reports.- Sustainability management plan.- Setup and chair sustainability working groups for forty Centres. - Data for reporting to the CDP.- Reporting on EEO, NGERS and other state reporting requirements such as EREP, ESAP, WSAP and WEMP. - Present to executives, regional heads and Centres on Sustainability plans. - Develop sustainability guidelines and operational standards of excellence. - Develop energy, water and waste environment management strategy for medium to long term including life cycle optimization and financial modelling. - Implementation of energy efficiency and environmental management strategy including documentation, tender, approval and project management. - Provide feasibility review and technical advice on Green Star and NABERS design requirements for star ratings, tri-generation systems, energy controls and operations. - Design support for ESD and structured network integration of services including strategic upgrade of existing controls and monitoring capability. - Project delivery of public place recycling process and technical support to design team. - Innovative green power systems business development covering a range of technologies. - Consultancy and contractor management across a range of sustainability design and installation requirements both in operations and design and construction projects. - Participate in the NABERS shopping centre rating tool development. - Develop and implement NABERS rating and upgrade strategy for retail and commercial sites.
