Petr Kováč is an investment banker advising clients for more than 29 years. He joined Patria Finance in 1995 and became the driving force in the development of the firm’s corporate finance business. Petr participated in the realization of more than 120 transactions and projects including projects for OKD, KBC, Agrofert Holding, Torecid, Bata, Czech Government, Czech Telecom (now Telefonica O2), Metrostav, Vinci or Czech Railways. Petr led, amongst others, the land marking transactions in the constructing sector in the Czech Republic – the acquisition of IPS by Skanska and the divestiture of ŽPSV Uherský Ostroh/ŽS Brno to Obrascón Huarte Lain, S.A. Other projects of his include bond issues for Vetropack Moravia Glass and Delvita (Delhaize) and general advisory services to Průmstav, Tradisa, Grall and the SEPAP Štětí. He has been assisting NWR in raising €1,6 billion via largest IPO on LSE, PSE and WSE in 2008. Petr has advised Agrofert Media in acquisition of ECOPRESS, a.s. a Slovak subsidiary of publishing house ECONOMIA in 2013.Petr was involved in number of internal projects and managed intra-company cooperation in Patria Finance group.
