Dr. Stacey is a Senior Lecturer in Information Management at the School of Business and Economics at Loughborough University. His current focus is on the mental health of astronauts (BA funded), data science, cancer care, emotion and systems development. Over the course of his twenty-year career in industry and academia, Dr. Stacey has won a number of prestigious prizes, fellowships and scholarships from institutions such as Imperial College London, Warwick Business School, Association for Computing Machinery, Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, and the National Computer Board of Singapore. He has published in numerous, prestigious “A” journals and conferences including Design Studies, Human Relations and Communications of the ACM. He gives invited talks throughout Europe. The varied positions he holds includes: Senior Editor of “IT & People” journal, Academic Lead on Digital and Health Helix for the EU’s Vision2020, Associate Editor of International Conference of Information Systems, Research Challenge Advocate for Enabling Technologies, founding member of the RCUK NEMODE+, and past Co-Director of the Highwire Centre for Doctoral Research at Lancaster University.
