As the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of a federal savings bank that operates a large residential and commercial real estate origination business throughout the country, I was tasked with the following responsibilities:• Direct and coordinate financial and budget activities for short-term and long-range planning• Communicate clearly and consistently with management and other team members to coordinate daily operations, resolve problematic situations, and discuss new ideas• Analyze operations in order to evaluate the performance of the bank and its team members; to ensure that all strategic objectives were being met; and to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change• Maximize ROI and increase productivity by creating and implementing effective workplace policies• Team with the marketing executives, who had a multi-million dollar budget, to implement marketing initiatives geared toward increasing production, expanding market share and improving corporate brands • Ensure that the bank passed independent and governmental audits by gathering substantiating documentation to prove regulatory compliance • Oversee the management and coordination of all reporting activities for the bank, including financial, budget, strategic planning, operations, and compliance.
