I also run weekly Newmont specific SAP training courses tailored specifically for Production and Maintenance and Engineering.I’ve principally been involved as a conduit between Long Term Planning and Reliability Engineering supporting strategy development and document management within SAP DMS. (Document Management System)With six monthly support Packs to be Implemented midyear I was integral to SAP System User Acceptance Testing. Headed the Document writing team at Ravensthorpe Nickel.I developed maintenance documents from the ROM feed bins, crushing, screening milling, and right through to the autoclaves and acid leach and bagging.This was a great hands on role which involved liaising with maintenance teams to develop a document that covered all aspects of maintenance reliability and safety.

Headed up the project for a maintenance management System MEX for a major resin and chemical producer. This involved a number of different tasks from designing System Philosophy to updating P&IDs and PFDs right through to asset management, Stores and Time Keeping. I was responsible for the development, design and delivery of all aspects of the installation including the training packages to all employees.This was a great opportunity to build a Maintenance system that works and being from the ground up put in place ideas and concepts gleaned from many sites. I have also required to plan several annual shutdowns and was kept on as interim site Engineer whilst the company was searching for a replacement. This task was a terrific opportunity not only to steer the maintenance team but also to plan and co-ordinate some major site upgrades including the new Stripper Column - which involved design and organizing quotes and ordering components. I had to work in with design engineers in Norway and Singapore.I reported to the Site Manager, Muir Aitken, and was closely involved with the handover to the new site Engineer when he commenced. My principal duties were with Mobile plant service scheduling along with organizing and planning larger Mid Life and Major breakage maintenance. I was involved in coordinating maintenance with Maintenance supervisors and reporting to the Maintenance Manager, Other tasks involved maintaining the on line Westrac SOS oil analysis system. I gained experience with Oracle, Premier Coals Maintenance System and was able to offer assistance to the fixed plant Planner when required.
