Manages the Hypersonics Applied Research and Development Programs, which include ground test to flight test vehicles and facilities that support Hypersonics.

Manages the Advanced Solutions Program which focuses on all things Hypersonic. Our teams design, build, and operate wind-tunnels, test articles, and flight vehicles.

I am the manager for the digital transformation portfolio at NASA Langley. As such I mange the processes and the budget for digital transformation. This group is really working the organizational and cultural change that digital transformation requires. It primarily funds pilot projects that utilizes cutting edge technologies that improve the Center.

I led the Center Partnerships team, which includes the Tech Transfer Team and SBIR/STTR Team, and also deals with Regional Partnerships. I created new business approaches that improve how Langley develops partnerships. I do outreach to educate outside partners and facilitate meet and greets if there is synergy in the work. I work closely with internal personnel to help identify paths to facilitate the best partnership paths. I have regional, national, and international connections and always seek out new technologies that could be useful to NASA. I am a big support of students and will talk with anyone interested in working in Aerospace.

I led the Technology Transfer Office at NASA Langley. We select which technologies NASA patents and help industry use those technologies through licensing and partnerships. I initiated a new program called Spin-In where we had Licensees and SBIR Phase 2E companies come back to present their technologies within NASA. This event grows year after year.

I was the Small Satellite Lead for Langley and was a member of the NASA Small Satellite Coordination Group. I was the programmatic manager of Lab77. Lab77 is a grassroots effort that facilitates forming teams around new technologies and application to grow our workforce skills and tools. We act as the network connector for tech and teams and them help the team move past the development valley of death and into main NASA missions. I was also the Systems Integration Lead for LOFTID, which is a Hypersonic Aerodynamic Decelerator (aka inflatable heat shield) that is in development.

I was the Assistant Branch Head of the Langley Systems Integration and Test Branch. I supervised 22 highly skilled engineers and technicians performing testing in thermal vacuum chambers, the vibration lab, the EMI/EMC lab, cleanrooms, and integration facilities testing everything from materials testing to spacecraft.

This is a temporary position where I work with another NASA organization in an area outside my normal field to help develop skills that NASA wants to see in its future leaders. I am currently working on the HIAD project, doing various tasks including some TPS testing. It's very different and is changing my perspective of NASA.

In this position I interface with the research engineers and actual implementation of experiments on flight test vehicles. I have ultimate safety responsibilty of the aircraft and anything that flys in them. I have to work closely with many different people in order to achieve the sucess of a project. I work with the pilots and the engineers to develop flight cards. And once we are ready to fly, I also do the Mission Control function and talk to the pilots, clearing them for maneuvers and positioning. I work with the technicians to install or modify things on the planes and schedule routine maintance items. The people I work with are very dedicated and skill at the jobs they do. I would even go as far as to say we are the premier flight research center in the United States. Many different companies, including commercial companies and the US Military, come to us to help them develop their technologies.

Temporary part-time detail in project management to help assemble a cost estimate for modification to an aircraft in support of science missions. Also helped with Test Plan completion and project scheduling, in addition to my regular Ops Engineering duties.

This position was as a static structures engineer. I worked on various projects including Intelligent Flight Controls, Active Aeroelastic Wing (AAW), F-15B test beds, a small rocket program, and X-43 Hyper-X. We performed loading calibration tests on reserach vehicles and then monitored flight loads on them. I did some damage and repair recommendations. I also did calculations for possible damage due to object hitting aircraft surfaces during flight. I used modeling in PATRAN, Pro-E and Solidworks. And then did FEA using COSMOS and NASTRAN. I worked many different programs going where extra help was required.

I did 3 six-month rotations through Aerodynamics, Research Structures, and Operations Engineering. It was very educational and I highly recommend co-op to students. I learned everything from programing to flight test (and even crashing) and the research side of things. It was a very eventful and interesting experience.

I worked as a technical writer intern for Lockheed Martin in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We worked on Engine Control Units and I worked in the service department.
