Provided applications engineering support for distributors and companies on the east coast of the United States. Primary duties included test cuts, time studies, and programming/operator training on MT series integrated CNC mill/turn machines with up to 4 spindles, dual turrets, and up to 9 controlled axis. Turning support for multi-axis CNC turning machines with up to 3 spindles, dual turrets, and up to 7 controlled axis. Milling support for the NV vertical and NH horizontal machining centers. All machines were powered by the Mori Seiki MAPPS CNC control with the Conversational Automatic Programming System (CAPS) and FANUC/ISO NC programming system.

Co-founded and managed a precision machine shop providing CNC milling and turning services to companies in the automotive, defense, special machinery, fiberglass, and general manufacturing industries.

Started my career at Hurco as a machinist using manual and Hurco CNC machine tools to produce parts for machine tools. Moved into the training department one year later providing programming/operator training and course development in 2D, 3D, and multi-axis machining. After three years I moved into applications engineering where I managed a large showroom, provided demos, test cuts, time-studies, plant tours, and training classes.

Honorably Discharged. Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS). As a machinist, I utilized all machine shop equipment including lathes, milling machines, grinding equipment, heat treating, flame spraying, and electroplating to manufacture new or repair parts for surface ships in the 2nd and 6th fleets. Stationed aboard two forward deployed destroyer tenders with a mission to keep all surface ships in battle ready condition at all times. Certified firefighter and emergency response provider. Member of the ship's self defense force.
