Most of my career has been spent at the intersection of semiconductors, software, and strategy. I'm the the author or co-author of a couple of books (one on the history of phone hacking, the other a textbook on digital signal processing), the co-author of the NNTP Internet standard, a contributor to BSD UNIX, and holder of 25 patents. I'm also a ham radio operator, much to my wife's despair. My interests include edge AI/ML, computer vision, deep neural networks, signal processing, and computer/network security.
