PLASMAPPS SRL is the leader of cold plasma surface treatment in the south of Italy. It also supplies not-standard plasma reactors ensuring maintenance service. It is located in the industrial area in Modugno. The company has started operating as a spin-off in the Chemistry Department at University of Bari in 2004 and it has developed in the framework of the Apulian laboratory of the industrial plasma (LIPP) founded in 2009. The close cooperation between the academic research context and the industrial experience lead to the foundation of Plasmapps in 2012. Plasma technology consists in surface finishing of different kind of materials such as rubber, polymers, leather, paper. The plasma processes are applied in several industrial sectors such as automotive, textile, biomedical, furniture, hydraulics, aerospace and others. It is innovative and eco-sustainable because it requires a minimal use of reagents and it works without solvents ensuring a high performance to the items treated.Plasmapps’ main policy is to maximize its client’s requires providing customized plasma treatments.
