As Production Department Manager, I oversaw Art Director and Graphic Design functions, coordinatingcommunication and deadlines throughout various departments within the weekly paper. Responsibilities included book layout, editing and creating frequent cover and article illustrations, processing camera-ready ads for print and creating new ads, both web and print, based on clients’ needs and input. I also contributed photography and copyediting as needed. Through the role I gained extensive experience using InDesign and Photoshop, worked closely with printers to coordinate file submissions and demonstrated my strong deadline-orientation, meeting tight turnaround requirements and publishing schedules.

Responsibilities include ad design, book layout, classifieds section layout and frequent illustration work for covers and inside the book.
