Ana E. Platero-Prats obtained her Ph.D. in 2011 at the Spanish National Research Council, working on the synthesis, structural characterization and catalytic applications of new alkaline-earth metal-based metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). After her graduation she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Berzelii Center EXSELENT on Porous Materials (Prof. Zou and Prof. Martin-Matute) at Stockholm University (Sweden). In 2014 she was selected for a Beatriu de Pinos Postdoctoral Fellowship at Argonne National Laboratory (Dr Chupas and Dr Chapman) (USA) where she is applying in-situ synchrotron based diffraction and total scattering techniques (Pair Distribution Function analyses) to determine the local structure of catalytic systems under operando conditions. Dr Platero-Prats is co-author of 28 research papers published in peer-reviewed journals and a patent (h-index=11, 1081 citations).
