I have personally raised over 10 million dollars. I excel at fundraising. I have a passion for Nature and things to do with the Natural World. I Worked as Director of Development for the Will-Joliet Bicentennial Park Foundation and the Rialto Square Theatre. I worked for 18.5 years as Director of Natural Resources and Grant Administration for the Joliet Park District. I have16 years of experience as liaison to the Joliet Park Foundation & their committees. I have written and been awarded 7 million dollars in grants. In addition, I was responsible for the Provena St. Joseph Inwood Athletic Club Sponsorship in the amount of one million dollars. I also secured a one-million-dollar bequest to the Joliet Park Foundation for the Pilcher Park endowment fund. I have created, planned, and carried out hundreds of special events. .I increased the yearly revenue for the Nature Center over 10,000% between 1995 & 2014! I ended the last fiscal year with a $90,000 surplus in revenue. I created, funded, and opened Little Sprouts Nature Based Early Learning Center which has been a major source of income for the Nature Center.I was responsible for all aspects of Taste of Joliet VIP/Vendor gate. The Taste of Joliet has 10,000+ attendees each year. I created a partnership between Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, ExxonMobil, Sodexho, Illinois Extension Service, Joliet Schools District 86 and the Will County Foundation for an afterschool program called Kids n’ Nature that has been awarded over $200,000 in funding. I planned, fundraised for, and opened the Barber and Oberwortmann Horticultural Center that is attached to the Bird Haven Greenhouse.Prior to the last 20 years I was also the Special Events Coordinator in Houston at the Bookstop Alabama Theatre where I hosted events like Mickey Mantle’s Booksigning, Hank Aaron, Martha Stewart, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Oliver North, Joan Rivers and many more. While at the Houston Park District I was responsible for Rockin Wednesdays on the steps of City Hall, the Christmas Tree lighting at City Hall and the party for George Foreman on the steps of City Hall.
