Michele Lantieri, M.S. specializes in the assessment and treatment of early childhood/ pre-verbal trauma. In the past 9 years, Michele has worked with children and adolescents in a variety of settings including a private catholic school (Ancillae - Assumpta Academy), inpatient facilities (Horsham Clinic, Fairmount Behavioral Health), an Intensive Outpatient Program (Central Montgomery, MHMR Preschool Intervention Program), and an outpatient clinic (NHS, CSI). Michele is dedicated to working with inner city youth and families with a range of presenting issues including divorce, incarceration, community violence, pre-verbal trauma, bullying, autism, mood disorders, ADHD, ODD, personality disorders, sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, DHS involvement and poverty. She specialized in the treatment and assessment of early childhood trauma; her main modality is individual and family play therapy with preschool age children and families. She is well-versed in the standards and practices of the community mental health system in Philadelphia i.e. documentation practices, treatment planning, crisis response, incident reports, suicide risk assessment, 302 procedures and de-escalation methods. Michele is also an artist, writer, case manager, public speaker, researcher, fundraiser and child advocate. She is learning about the child welfare system in her spare time.
