1. Served as industry thesis advisor and committee member for earth sciences students from several national wide institutions.2. Promoted as a geosciences mentor for career development for the reservoir department personnel.3. Investigated seismic velocities dependency in low symmetry elastic media, codeveloped a high-performance Linux application in C11 (over 1,000 lines of code) using Make, GDB, and Valgrind’s memcheck, to simulate a 2D elastic wave generating synthetic seismograms and screenshots.Key achievements: Research results spearheaded a study methodology for fractured reservoirs yielding several peer-reviewed publications and technical reports. We established for the first time---the parametrization of a monoclinic set of fractures--for oil and gas exploration purposes.

Contributed to the university’s curriculum as a senior teaching assistant with 2 laboratory courses per semester averaging 20 students per course during 10 semesters, obtaining a uniform teaching score of 4.7/52. Implemented lab experiments incorporating state-of-the-art software into the undergrad physics curriculum. Assessed, reported, and analyzed students' results.3. Served as a senior teaching assistant mentoring new TAs to ensure students had the best learning tools and environment for progress.4. Provided lab safety, environment, and behavioral guidelines, encouraging class discussion and maintaining a positive learning environment.Key achievement: While working successfully on my Ph.D. dissertation, I taught physics as a senior teaching assistant at UofToronto, learning a new language and sharing experiences in a multicultural environment.
