Maria is a Consultant Psychologist at iGROW, a nationally recognized and award winning Employee Well-being consulting firm that specialises in Happiness at work, family and life. Her passion for working with people saw her commencing her career in a non-profit organization where she conducted research, developed programmes for children and families as well as facilitation group work. The diverse population she was able to work with presented her with invaluable experience that she now puts into practice at work. In addition, she was also involved in several high impact international projects to conduct psychosocial and trauma recovery training and advised NGOs on starting counselling and family centres in their respective countries.Maria aspires to empower individuals in harnessing their potential to the fullest and enhancing their overall well-being. Her passion has led her to pursue research on how workplace physical activity can improve well-being and work engagement. She strongly believes that good health contributes to happier and healthier individuals and personal effectiveness at work. Maria also has a special interest in health technology and devices. She minored in Technopreneurship while at NUS and continued to explore opportunities to integrate technological devices and health. Her brainchild, iGROW’s Signature Programme, “StepUP Challenge” is a research-based intervention, which motivates participants to increase their physical activity as a way to improve their mental well-being.
