Consult with users and project teams to determine requirements for all web sites and related applications across the Omnicare organization. Lead the analysis of organizational needs and goals as they pertain to web sites and related applications. Lead the design and implementation of internal and external web sites and related applications. Ensure that the web sites are stable, well designed, effective to use, up-to-date, and properly maintained.

Came to Omnicare with the acquisition of NCS Healthcare and continued in Technology Strategist role. Architected, designed and developed web-based applications for the central cash collection team. Also architected and designed a central applications framework for use with future browser-based business applications, providing consistent user experience, single sign-on and central user administration for disparate business apps.This time frame included a short stint as Director of Data Warehousing to re-architect our approach to data warehousing. Held a data warehousing summit bringing together various teams involved in data warehousing.

Relinquished the role of president so I could focus more on product architecture and development. My time was split between web development, project management and personnel management.Standardized and consolidated the technology toolkit in use at NCS Healthcare, and seeing if/how/when those technologies may meet business demands. Coordinated the efforts to investigate new technologies as needed to address business demands.Investigated and provided guidance on enterprise-wide technology initiatives, facilitated technology discussions between project teams, and developed strategies to satisfy client/customer/industry technology demands. Rolled up my sleeves and developed code when needed, as much of our organization was just learning new technologies.

Took over company leadership to allow the founder to focus on product architecture and development. I became a part-owner of Rescot in July, 1995.Established the first Internet presence for Rescot in mid-1996; personally created initial web site.Oversaw the acquisition of Rescot by NCS Healthcare in January, 1997.Participated in the pharmacy dispensing system evaluation and decision and managed the implementation of the Rescot software for NCS. Introduced the use of task/project tracking databases to organize the software requests coming from NCS Healthcare management.

Upon joining Rescot my focus was on business and technology strategy. I assisted the owner/president with growing the business from 14 to 33 employees and maintaining a 1-, 3- and 5-year business plan. Also introduced desktop technology and networking.Oversight included organization structure planning, budget, and employee development. Established a salary administration policy. Organized employee training in key skill areas (time management, effective meetings, etc.).Rescot made the Philadelphia Business Journal list of the Top 100 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in October 1993.

Roles progressed from Systems Analyst (level-3 O/S support), to Section Manager (product support team), to Project Manager, to Director of Voice Application Programming.In my last role I oversaw the development team that built the Business and Residential Voice Messaging Application for Pacific Bell.
