🌎 My love of new languages and cultures started when I was young. It fascinated me that a person could learn a new language (a new code, as I thought of it at the time) and communicate with a whole group of people that had been “unreachable” before. I now get to live my dream of being bilingual and connecting people together by translating their words and ideas for them. If you need someone to translate between Spanish and English, I’d love to be that someone for you! 📚 I bring to the table 10 years of learning Spanish and working in different parts of Latin America. I became a translator in 2019 after I moved to the DR to teach English. My experience in translating has been largely educational and administrative materials (reports, brochures, correspondence, projects, manuals, lesson plans and worksheets, etc.) 🔰 Living in Latin America allows me to localize your projects, not just give you a word-for-word translation. This is important because many thoughts and ideas do not have the same meaning when translated…or may have no meaning at all. This is why so many people fail to connect with their audience when they choose to use a machine translation.
