• The ward cares for and treats patients within the specialties of Endocrinology, Hematology, Nephrology, Infectious Diseases, Pulmonary, Gastroenterology medicine and Abdominal surgery. This include diagnostics, nursing and post-surgery care. All children return to AMA post-surgery, whereas adults usually are forwarded to respective surgical wards.• Typically patients are admitted 24-48 hours, then forwarded to the respective specialty ward or discharged to home/rehabilitation units. The ward takes in adults and kids alike.Responsibilities and competencies:• Primary care-taking of the patients and monitoring vital signs. • Well acquainted with the use of CPAP, ECG, System 22, oxygen therapy including High Flow humidification, arterial puncture and analyzing, cannulation and IV therapy.• Pre and post surgical care, i.e. wound care and instructions in self-care. . • Conducting ward rounds with the respective medical, emergency or surgical doctors in a fast paced environment.I have completed the Advanced Cardiac Life Support, a mandatory course by the hospital.

Currently employed at Helse Førde / Førde Central Hospital. Surgical ward, with primary function within the Gastro Surgical unit.

• Facility is catered to elderly citizens in need of observation, nursing care and treatment due to acute illness or exacerbation of chronic illness - both somatic and mental - and/or acute reduced general condition. The aim is to prevent hospitalization or to function as transitional care.• The elderly citizens are either admitted through their own GP, medics or by the Emergency Department. Responsibilities and competencies:• I'm used to a holistic approach in my daily dealings with various citizens admitted.• Administer IV therapy, basic care, wound treatment - or a chat over a cup of warm coffee. • Dosage preparation and administration of prescribed medication.• I am confident in my liaison with local community care for further home improvements according to the citizens' need.

• A socio-educational residential facility for adult citizens, with multiple disabilities and an extensive need of care. They often have a very undeveloped mentality.• "Violen" houses around 16 adult citizens who are primarily wheelchair bound and in need of full assistance in all matters - be it eating, dressing and basic care.Responsibilities and Competencies:• Dosage and administration of medicine.• Administration of pulmonary physiotherapy such as CPAP and PEEP-flow. • Arranging ADL for the citizens, including excursions etc.• Aware and practise ergonomically positioning of myself throughout work in assisting peoples' mobility. • Experienced in helping people who are fully dependent on my kindness and assistance in all matters of life -I'm aware of how my personality and mood affects the citizens I work with through close and continued interaction.
