Under my leadership, the Project Management Competency Centre (PMCC) assumed responsibility for all Programmes and Projects executed nationally and internationally. The PMCC spearheaded project delivery through 8 Regional Programme Managers and approximately 150 Project Managers. The PMCC was involved in all facets of the project life cycle from bid to implementation. Highlights of my tenure at BCX included::  Tailored the PRINCE2 methodology and standardised BCX on one project management methodology (PRINCE2 - Project in Controlled Environment 2) for internal and client projects. A total of 150 Project Team Members were internally trained at Foundation Level over a two year period, with a 100% certification record.  Instituted a transformation programme to fast track experienced Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDI) IT practitioners as Project Managers over a period of 1-year. The programme has successfully produced 4 Project Managers and an additional 2 were being trained and mentored. Executed a Learnership programme for project administrators Implemented a Certification Programme to ensure that all Project Managers (approximately 130) are certified on the South African National Qualification Framework Level 4 level. Established a Strategic Project Office (SPO) for internal and external projects. The SPO co-ordinated the strategic and tactical projects portfolios. The SPO Governance is based on PRINCE2 methodology. Significant improvement of successful projects resulting from implementation of sound project governance and investment in people  Verified the Project Management Maturity across all business units and compared the results to an International Maturity Benchmark. Drove the continuous improvement programme to level 3 maturity.  Project of The Project of The Year Award to recognise and celebrate successful project delivery. Management of the Innovation and improvement function.

I teamed with the national partner and jointly we established the project management service line within the Global Risk Management Solutions (GRMS) division. Client interaction was generally at Board, CEO, CFO and CIO level. My main responsibilities were: Strategic planning, management of multiple and diverse project teams, marketing PCDS, business development and strategic partner management, account management (including debtors, WIP and risk management), mentoring and coaching of staff, consulting with clients, implementation of selected projects, and methodology development and enhancement. The main services include: Programme and Project Management, Project Support Office (PSO), Project Assessment, Project Risk Consulting, Organisational Change Management, Project Capability Enhancement (Project Management Maturity Assessment) and User Acceptance Testing.  ABSA & Bankfin – Initiated and scoped the two year, R 70 Million programme to replace all the IT systems for Bankfin. PwC was responsible for overall Programme Management and management of the PSO. Represented the client, managed the software vendor and reported to the Bankfin Project Steering Committee Department of Health - Initiation and scoped a two year, R 80 Million National, AIDS Programme for Government for a consortium of mass media vendors. PwC is tasked with establishing and executing the Programme Management, PSO and Financial Management. Facilitated the conceptualisation of the overall campaign strategy and definition of the related projects Sun International – Evaluated and reported on the IT Software Strategy Multichoice – Assisted with the IT Benchmarking, against international standards, and the compilation of a IT and business risk profile Project Quality reviews for various PwC clients Project management training for PwC Southern Africa
