Highlights of my time at Cloudera include being awarded Solutions Engineer of The Year for three years running, becoming the first board approved Principal, speaking at many events with 100’s of attendees, and always meeting my yearly quota, which was the largest in the company.After bringing in 8 new logos, I was asked to own 2 of the top 4 US banks globally. As the primary technical contact and architect for each of these accounts, I added to my deep Linux and performance engineering background experience in many Big Data and Cloud technologies. This included architecting solutions in Risk, Compliance, Regulatory reporting, AML, Cyber Security, Customer 360, E-Comm Surveillance and Active Archive.

After helping to close the deals that made Data Fabric the multimillion-dollar product it is today, I moved to become a Director of Solutions Consulting. I led the end to end architecture for front office electronic trading systems, including proprietary software, hardware stack, WAN and data center connectivity. In some cases, these were fully hosted and managed solutions. These designs encompassed the full Market Data Life Cycle, from handling market data from each exchange, to the applications making the decision, to gateways to place orders with the matching engines across multiple asset classes, including Futures, Options, FX, Fixed Income, and Equities.

I started NYSE Technologies as a QA Engineer but quickly moved to roles that were more customer-facing. I was selected to be an original member of the team that created Data Fabric, NYSE Technologies’ premier high-performance middleware. As a Lead Field Engineer, I helped to design, test, perform PoCs and install at various financial services companies around the world, including many of the Tier 1 Banks. This gave me experience in tuning software, OS, X86 hardware and high-performance networking (10Gb & IB) to the nanosecond level.
