Directed software engineering and architecture effort in the development of a pioneering online e-book management and delivery system. Physical books were converted to electronic form, uploaded to the web, and fully indexed to support online reading and full-text search capabilities. Libraries were able to purchase “copies” of any e-book in a catalog of over 40,000 which was then made available to their patrons through a single-book single-user DRM system. User accounts were associated with a particular library via referring URL (from a library web site) or IP range (from a library’s network) and could then be used at home to access books owned by their library from within a browser or check them out to an offline e-book reader application.

System was based upon a decision tree of questions developed by medical professionals that was used to help call-center nurses guide patients to the appropriate level of care based on their answers. Patient would be directed to self-help, urgent care, or to make an appointment with their primary care physician or an appropriate specialist (without the need for a referral).
