15 years in the semiconductor equipment industry:Started at Axcelis Technologies (then Eaton Corp.) in 1994, working in the Final Test department for 4 years. This position involved test, qualification and repair of Ion Implant equipment, both in-house and on-site, including travel to Europe and Asia Pacific.I then moved to the Product Support department, where my responsibilities included technical support via phone and email, on-site support (including emergency travel), providing on-site training to customers, and also in-house support for a variety of groups.In 2002 I moved to Varian Semiconductor, where I worked in the Final Test department for 1 year, performing the same function as my original position with Axcelis.in 2003 I returned to the Axcelis Product Support department, where I started to work in the "New Products" group. I started with the Optima MD product, and was involved in test and developement phase, through first product roll out, and finally field integration. This involved spending 9 months on-site in Germany, from tool installation, test, and qualification, through to production start.When I returned I started on the same path with the Optima HD product, leading to another 8 month stint of on-site support in Germany.
