The main objectives of the head of environment are leading environmental management in order to develop the strategies and programs to: (1) reduce risks and liabilities associated to tailings management; (2) ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards; (3) address climate change risks and adaptation strategies; (4) ensure integration of mine closure into life cycle planning of the operations.Specific responsibilities include:Setting requirements, defining the strategy, and ensuring compliance/targets, regarding the environment management system.Managing risks and compliance around Tailings & Hydroelectric Dams – through detailed knowledge of the plans, maintenance, functioning of each asset TSF and Hydroelectric dam to ensure all assets are being managed to best practice and Corporate/International standards.
