Coached and advised journalists pursuing innovative and entrepreneurial journalism projects during their JSK Fellowships, helping them explore, prototype, iterate and refine their ideas. Designed and implemented programming to develop or deepen skills needed to thrive in the rapidly changing journalism landscape. Identified and pursued collaborations within the Stanford community and in Silicon Valley. Oversaw the program's social media and digital strategies. Involved in recruiting potential applicants, advisers and collaborators for fellows and the program. Designed and produced annual live events that showcased JSK Fellows' work.

Developed editorial strategy at multi-perspective video news start up and the operational framework and systems to support the strategy. Overall all daily editorial operations of paid staff and senior/graduate journalism students in a private-public partnership with the Missouri School of Journalism.

Senior level journalism course: Global News Perspectives

Led 300 person newsroom in top 25 media market. Integrated print and digital news gathering and publishing operations, changing organizational structures and workflow. Led major redesign of leading local news website, introduction of live video streaming and early adaptation of social media for news gathering, audience engagement and content distribution. Led news staff to recognition as 2009 finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Breaking News for coverage of a mass shooting in a city council meeting.

Led 9-person investigative team that produced numerous high-impact, award-winning investigative stories and series. Introduced and integrated the use of multi-media (video, interactive graphics, etc.).
