Responsible for reviewing and administering multi-million dollar capital construction and professional services contracts for the Houston Airport System. This includes contracts for planning, design, and construction of all buildings and facilities associated with the three regional airports. Responsible for subject matter expertise for contracts, ensuring financial and legal integrity.

Chosen by VP-Sales to manage the Global Markets branch in Houston, Texas during a leadership change. Managed an organization of approximately 60 people including sales and sales support resources and their managers. Responsible for account transitions, re-staffing, and account assignment activiities during sales channel realignment. Approved all personnel evaluations, expense reports, sales reporting and forecasting, and represented the Branch in all local sales activities as well as in VP Sales organizational meetings.

Led team to attain assigned sales quotas ranging from $60M to $80M+ in vertical healthcare accounts. Surpassed all client satisfaction targets. Exceeded sales goals by 300%. Provided coaching and support for sales teams in Western Region as they took on premise equipment sales for the first time. Assisted them in developing RFP responses, situation analysis and strategy development, as well as pricing and margin management.

Managed a sales team providing sales consulting to individual facilities in a nationwide healthcare organization under $80M contract sold while at Southwestern Bell Telecom. Exceeded quota and customer satisfaction objectives and expanded contract to include maintenance services.Provided staff function for Area VP of Sales in the area of premise equipment sales. Trained 100+ sales personnel on various aspects of selling equipment, from qualifying the opportunity to completing the installation. Trained sales management personnel on pricing, margin management, and sales strategies. Assisted sales teams with proposals and presentations. Provided final authorizaton for all discounts to ensure attainment of P/L objectives for this line of business.

I was appointed to manage the Houston Texas branch during a 10 month period as this separate subsidiary was integrated into the primary corporate organization. This responsibility included overseeing the activities of my peers in Sales Management, as well as those in installation, repair, design and engineering, warehousing, sales support, and administrative support to ensure customer satisfaction and achievement of financial objectives for the branch (P/L). Total organizational responsibility exceeded 100 people. This responsibilty included managing personnel issues, expense controls, and physical and organizational transition of 100 people into the new organization. I reported on a dotted-line basis to the Regional President of Southwestern Bell Telephone in Houston as well as directly to the VP-Sales at Southwestern Bell Telecom, in Dallas. These responsibilities were performed in addition to my normal activities involved in managing a sales team to exceed quota expectations.

Directed sales force in this equipment subsidiary of Southwestern Bell Telephone, including recruiting, hiring, developing, and coaching. Responsible for sales of premise systems equipment and services. Achieved Presidents Club awards for exceeding quota 10 of 12 years.Planned and managed design and buildout of new office space and transition of 100+ employees to new facilities.Planned and managed implementation of internal office automation and new office LAN. Assisted RVP with Job Cost Management on an interim basis and reduced billing time by 85% and increased billing accuracy to from 75% to 98%.
