★ Advised the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, influencing key strategic decisions impacting Finance & Administration.★ Chaired subcommittee on General Administration of the task force that led the strategic realignment of LSU in 2015, to implement the One LSU vision.★ Drafted amendments to Board Bylaws and other governing documents to reorganize LSU and improve Board-level systematic review of major transactions. ★ Led or contributed to major projects and initiatives involving stakeholders from throughout the Division of Finance and Administration. ★ Provided legal and policy analysis and guidance to the Board of Supervisors, President, and senior university leaders. Also provided legal guidance to the Internal Audit department.★ Examined the business, financial, and legal terms of all major agreements submitted to the Board or the President for approval, highlighting risks and potential areas of exposure.★ Assisted in the identification of major fraud that led to criminal referrals, and oversaw litigation to recoup funds owed to the university.★ Led many of the legal efforts to support the university through the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, avoiding the permanent closure of academic institutions by taking measures that included chartering a cruise ship to house the medical school for one year, and securing 200 mobile homes to support the dental school. Friends of BASIS Louisiana is the property ownership and development entity supporting BASIS Baton Rouge and other Louisiana-based BASIS charter schools.
