In April 2013, the inherited function was underperforming by almost any measure, a picture which had improved substantially by March 2014 through a process of customer engagement, reorganisation, reorientation, improved leadership, talent refreshment and improvements to processes and data management.

Additional, personal accountabilities included; Chairman of Volex Interconnect India PVT Ltd, Board Member of PT Volex Indonesia and Board Member of Volex Cable Assembly (Vietnam) Co Ltd. The role was newly created in 2009 to support the company’s turnaround through a more corporate approach to HR. The prime task was to re-position a lean HR function as a strategic partner in the business and the function has subsequently become highly influential and respected. HR policy and direction is provided from London with senior operational support out of the geographic regions managed through two VP’s of HR located in the US and Asia.
