Technical software lead for new product designs and customer integration. • Designed, developed and deployed all of the embedded firmware and device drivers for an ATM PCI monitor card with VPI/VCI auto-discovery. This innovative product utilized a "tap" to non-invasively monitor fiber connection and a Content-addressable memory (CAM) to detect all VPI/VCI connections and provide time-stamping.• Designed, developed and deployed all of the embedded firmware and device drivers for a PowerQUICC II (8260) based AAL1/2/5 ATM interface card with OC3 optical interface. Challenges included implementation of Inverse Multiplexing for ATM (IMA) protocol.• Designed, developed and deployed all of the embedded firmware for a 6U CPCI ATM blade utilizing Conexant CN8236 AAL1/2/3 ATM SAR, Tundra PCI bridges, Freescale MPC750 processor, and VxWorks OS.• Developed both Linux and Windows drivers for PCI cardsManaged product development teams for integration and deployment of Cavium packet processor and Intel CPU ATCA blade products for 4G LTE and CDMA systems.• Using agile development techniques, managed integration team of 4-8 engineers to develop and deploy ATCA packet processor HW and SW into tier 1 telecom systems. Successfully achieved General Availability (GA) release of products on all 3 major accounts in 2012. $20MM revenue forecast in 2013.

Challenges included implementing and testing OAM, ILMI, IPOA protocols and software SAR. The on-board processor was a 403GCX PowerPC; development was in C.

Software architect and developer of data path management software for the Hiper-DSP module; responsible for the optimized protocol stack designed to support 32 simultaneous communication paths. The Total Control RAS was US Robotics/3Com flagship remote access product. Technical challenge accomplished was to maintain duplex 56K line rate throughput on all channels. The processors included three 403GA PowerPC processors, development was done in C, based on the Diab compiler and linker.

I joined this company in 1991 as a small (18 employee) company and was key member of the technical staff during its first 5 years of evolution. I developed software and firmware for 3 different ISDN products and I held various leadership positions.• Lead Software developer on design and implementation of BONDING Standard. A Bandwidth on Demand Interoperability Group industry standard inverse multiplexing protocol to aggregate N x 56/64 Kbits/s Calls; ISDN and 56K lines for high bandwidth on demand applications, e.g. video conferencing. U.S. Patent application submitted.• Developed and Implemented all software and firmware for PromptCare; a Promptus remote access technology that allowed us to dial into our products to configure and debug remotely. Challenges included were reliable modem interaction and VT100 firmware interface.
