My family celebrated 100 years in the security industry in 2023. My 40-years in regional, middle market- and national- businesses have afforded me extensive experience in executive, technical, operations and financial management. Admiral, based in Downtown Manhattan on West Street was just a few blocks South of the World Trade Center. After the cleanup of its 40,000 square foot facility was completed, another disaster errupted for this once-thriving concern. Major investment banks started merging and moving back-office operations out of Manhattan. Those that remained started migrating to electronic documents and on-demand digital printing. Sales plummeted. Upon arrival, I performed a comprehensive audit. focusing on sales, production, purchasing and back-office operations. I elminated unnecessary personnel and equipment and reduced DSO. I led the implementation of one of the first e-commerce websites offering online printing. I negotiated with the building owner and successfully sold off dozens of outmoded offset printing presses. We relocated the business to a more efficient and economical plant in Nassau County, developed a new business model focusing on digital printing and highly customized direct mail.

With over 100 operator positions, it sold and installed over 1,000 residential alarm systems per month. Sentry was the most over-leveraged business in Honeywell's dealer lending portfolio and was among the reasons why GE backed out of acquiring Honeywell’s security business. When funding was discontinued, I repurposed the mass-marketing operation to focus on large scale commercial video surveillance systems with an average ticket exceeding $10,000, funded by third-party leasing companies.
