I’m a skilled software engineer and information technology expert with over 20 year experience in a wide range of technologies and industry environments.In April of 2019, I started a new position in the Spanish Central Bank (BDE), previously I spent 15 years working as project manager for GRECASA where I led a team of 13 developers responsible of the development and maintenance of applications for the Canary Island Government Tax Agency (ATC). IncludingDevelopment of the tax’s payers virtual tax office and information portal (Tomcat+Spring+JSF2+Hibernate) -over 350M € / year in tax collected through the online payment gateway -over a million digitally signed online tax forms submitted in 1Q of 2019Development of a custom middleware web services platform for integration with third party organizations (JXF +WS-Security)Development of Multi platform standalone tax form software to aid the tax payer fill out and print the over 20 different forms. (Java-Swing-iText + flexera installanywhere for distribution)From 2005 to 2008 I worked at the centralized IT department of the Spanish Tax Agency in Madrid for the VEXCAN project. The award winning project processes all the national import/export declarations (over 20.000 million € total declaration processed monthly) with added functionality to process the Canary Island government custom declarations . I took active part in the design of the new Java/DB2 running on CICS architecture resulting of the migration from Adbas/Natural. Prior to GRECASA I was a founder partner of IT consulting start-up JableSoft, working there for 5 years I covered a wide range of positions : project management, development, documentation, team configuration. I took part in several J2EE projects and developed the training department taking responsibility in content selection and instruction process. I also had the chance to work in several offshore projects in Germany, Switzerland and India.
