Notable examples of success include:Lead outside counsel for Bob's Discount Furniture since 1996 representing the Company through two private equity sales, handling credit facilities and lead for the leasing, development and administration of Bob's 170 plus retail store portfolio, regional distribution centers and corporate headquarters. Recent highlights include obtaining and closing a $20.7 Million Financial Assistance Package from the State of Connecticut enabling Bob's to develop its national headquarters in Manchester, Connecticut and amending all leases within the Bob's portfolio to address the implications of COVID.Lead real estate counsel for upstart New England based Shopping Center developer and owner handling acquisition, development, leasing, equity and financing transactions. Significant contributor with a group of businesspeople who created Business Lenders LLC from a concept through initial financing and licensing eventually becoming a leading nationally licensed SBA non-bank lender. Served as lead outside council to create, implement and close a national network for loan closings and administration. Personally closed over 1,000 commercial loans.Other significant transactions include growing the Anytime Fitness and StretchLabs chains in the State of Connecticut, the formation and syndication of numerous popular Connecticut restaurants such as Jim Calhoun’s Coach’s Sports Bar & Grill, and representation of the Powder Ridge Ski Mountain and Brownstone Adventure Park.
